The fifteenth hole at Las Sendas Golf Club is one of the longest (593 yards from the silver tees, 459 yards from the copper tees)—and most challenging—par fives on the course. Featuring a split fairway design, numerous bunkers, gradually increasing elevation, and a relatively small green, golfers who complete hole fifteen in five strokes should feel victorious.
Tee Shot: Avoid Major Issues
Finding hole fifteen’s fairway from off the tee should be pretty straightforward. Focus on splitting the hills on the left and the fairway bunker on the right. Hooking your drive will likely result in a difficult lie in the desert wash area.
Should your ball land in the desert wash area, please remember to keep your golf cart on the fairway. Dealing with a stuck cart isn’t fun for anyone!
Planning Your Approach
Although some longer hitters may try reaching the green in two, most players will be content with just getting close and setting up a short approach for your third. Favoring the left side of the fairway (while avoiding sand) should leave a decent angle of the green. Missing right is risky, as hole fifteen drops off dramatically to the right as you approach the green.
Small Green with Deep Bunkers
Watch out for multiple bunkers that are near hole fifteen’s green—especially the bunkers on the right, which are very deep. Compared to other holes at Las Sendas Golf Club, the green is relatively small and slopes back to front.
